Idiot Proof Food For Those Who Don’t Have Time:
Marinated Fish, Herb Roasted Sliced Potatoes and Brocolli & Cheese
Looking for a quick meal that doesn’t require any effort? Want to make something healthy but don’t want to waste long hours after working just trying to get something together? Consider idiot proof.
Step One: Fish
If you are not into fish, this marinade works just as well with chicken or pork. You may ask why there are no measurements—that’s because when you’re in a rush…you might not want to spend 10 minutes finding the measuring cup. Use your proportions in relation to what your making. Combine the following in a bowl:
A lot of: vegetable oil, water
A medium amount of: honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic powder, ginger powder
A little bit of: salt, pepper, lemon zest powder
Make enough to cover whatever protein your making. If you want, you can combine all these ingredients and marinate from the night before or before work. However, letting it soak for 20 minutes is all that is needed.
When ready to cook, put a little oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Cook about 5 minutes or until ready. Try not to flip it too much.
Step Two: Brocolli
Boil a decent amount of brocolli. When it gets soft, remove water. Add chunk of cheese and milk (if neccesary) to help cheese break down.
Step Three: Potato
Slice potato. Cover with herbs of your choice (I recommend dill, rosemary, parsley, onion powder and garlic). Put oil in pan. Lay potatoes flat in pan on high heat for about 15-20 minutes. Please let it cool. Eat.
