Before doing what I need to do for today (a bunch of freelance articles on the last day before I start a job TOMORROW—my first real job ever), I felt the need to blog about something.
I got engaged to a wonderful man several months ago. March 27th, in fact. We went to Arlin’s for dinner & beer (somewhere he had been saying he needed to take me since I came to visit him), we got home, he proposed. But I never changed my Facebook status. All of my friends & family knew soon after. My best friends knew within a few hours & my parents knew within the next few days of it. But I never changed my Facebook status. And I’m not sure why as I am a chronic Facebook user.
I changed it yesterday and it looks weird. So many people change their status to ‘engaged’ or ‘married’ as a joke but it’s serious for me. It’s actually true. Seeing it there staring back at me looks so weird. It looks so adult. I don’t really know what to do with it.
Anyone have any ideas as to why it took me so long to put it up there?
