Findlay Market
I’m never bothering to even try to go to Findlay Market again. I already wasted 1.5 hours of my time circling because their website promised multiple lots and street parking. So annoyed right now…

The Feeling of Luck - Tania Katherine
I feel luck in my veins  streaming in place of blood  like ivy climbing up a vine  infatuating itself with my body  infiltrating my synapses  quicker and quicker with every intent of success.  I feel myself steeping like loose leaf tea - earl grey -   waiting for someone to tug at the string  and bring me up to the shore  dripping off from where I’ve been  and leaving my color...

The Tea Spot's Mango Tango Tea
The Tea Spot describes this fragrant loose leaf tea as “a fresh take on the classic tradition of flavored black teas. This blend of crisp Ceylon and fresh passion fruit and mango creates a light and fruity combination that is great any time of year.” The description-while lofty marketing-is spot on. I first purchased the tea at Bed Bath and Beyond,...

Kurt Halsey
I know it’s so cliche and makes me quite the emotacular scene kid but I will always infinitely love Kurt Halsey’s work. Everything he’s done makes me subject myself to some emotion, whether it be happiness, ‘awww!’ or sadness.

Underrated Band of the Day: Straylight Run
If you’re anything like me, music and certain bands spell your life into periods. For me, Straylight Run happens to adorn a few of those periods.  Their first release was my senior year of high school. I was early in on the “hey, there is this band with a free release…” headway. I adored it. Went to college. Turned out everyone else adored it too. Freshman year, my best...

All Saints - Fashion
Found another great site for fashionable looks, All Saints. The site is very similar to La Garconne in aesthetic too: clean lines, French-friendly, mostly monochromatic and urban. I love how just glancing through their dress collection looks so cohesive. You’d be able to look at their stuff on the street and go “Oh, that’s All Saints” much in the way you can look at de la...

La Garconne
I’m loving the clothes on this site I just found. A lot of it is very classic French in feeling, lots of drab colors with fresh designs and clean lines. While these styles are certainly out of my price range and my body range (the lines are made to flatter a much slighter woman), I love the aesthetic.  Be sure to check out La Garconne!

Attitude
If I’m wrong, the worst thing that’s going to happen is that I’m going to be wrong. No one is going to die, the world will not implode, I will just act a fool.  If I’m right, the best thing that’s going to happen is that I’m right and the actions that come from it. No one is going to die, the world won’t be in the palm of my hand, I will just be...

Ideological V. Health Vegetarianism/Veganism
I’ve been rather interested lately in vegetarianism. Accidentally in part, I began to read The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone. Putting aside Silverstone’s ‘as if’ moments and professed passion for animals through PETA, the book has had a lot of value to me—unexpectedly.  I picked up the book from the library with the intention of getting recipes for a cookbook I...

I'm The Most Blessed Person in The World
I’ve been hating my life so much recently what with my parents going back (and me not getting to see them for months) and my job but…when it comes down to it, I don’t think anyone else is more blessed by God than I am sometimes.  I’m so blessed for my family and friends. My parents are easily the best parents in the world and in so many ways my best friends. I’m so...

Parents
My parents are in town (for the first time ever!) and I feel so happy and excited and blessed to be as close to my parents as I am. My mother especially is probably one of my best friends and I talk to her more often most days than I do Michael.  If I ever won the lottery, I’d give my parents like…half…of it and buy the house next door to them. Michael, the kitties and I would...

sunscreen
dailycoffee: Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. The best sunscreens I have used are chemical: La Roche Posay and Blue Lizard. I’m apparently disrupting my hormones and destroying coral reefs. Awesome. I already tossed a tube of Coppertone sport because it was full of cancer-accelerating retinyl palmitate. I guess I need to switch over to a physical sunscreen? And make sure nothing I put on...

Am I Crazy?
You’d tell me right? I don’t want to get married until: I’m at a healthy weight. I hear I need wear a dress… Michael clears his credit up. We can afford it. People keep acting like I’m doing it wrong…

Day One: Favorite Song
So, the whole 30 Day Tumblr Challenge thing. I guess I probably should do that, right? I mean…sounds interesting enough. So, here goes…I suppose.  Day 01 — Your favorite song Yeah, this one isn’t going to work. I guess we’re off to a bad start already. I’ve got a lot of favorite songs and it would be rather extensive to name them all. I used to keep a playlist of...

Today's Project: Crochet
I found this awesome pattern online and think it’s a great project for me to get started on crocheting again. I’ll probably give up a portion of the way through but oh well, better than nothing I suppose. Never hurts to try, at least.  I just love the way it looks wrapped circles around then neck. I’m not entirely sure why but I do.                                            ...

World Market
Fun story time: my fiance and I embarked this morning to go to Lane Bryant for bras and to find the Columbus based World Market store after I fell in love with stackable cups. We couldn’t go to Lane Bryant initially because there was, literally, a parade in the way. We tried to find World Market. No luck. We went to Target, knowing it was right past there. No luck, no luck at all.  ...

Mug/Espresso Mug Sets - World Market - CUTE!
Multi Color Stacking Mugs or Espresso Cups Sets of 6 - $9.99  I don’t know what it is but I am absolutely, 100&10% obsessed with these and want them desperately. Way too cute and loveable. I’d probably even leave these out on the counter and I am the Queen of ‘let’s put it away in the cabinets, dear.’  Ugh, why do I not have a job...

Book Review: The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone
The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone I know, I know: I loved her in Clueless too. And for that reason so many people aren’t going to put any stock in this recipe-and-dietary-based book. But that is unacceptable.  The book is backed and reviewed by Neal Barnard, a leading nutritionist (with a focus in plant based diets and diabetes) for years now. I’ve known about him long before this...
